How to turn off [Originals] folder?

I am working with a number of large files and would rather not have them copied/saved in an [originals] folder.

What is an "[originals]" folder?

I don't think this is XYplorer creating this folder. It's most likely your image processing application. I know apps like Picasa create an [Originals] folder where they store the original image before doing modifications.
