Maybe you know this blog but anyway...

A great blog which explains why Windows looks like it does and much more...

So I skimmed thru it and see DirOpus mentioned twice, and xplorer2 also...so who's going to be the volunteer to post XY to that blog? Not me at this point...I think someone else here would do a better job!
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Total Commander, too, right at the beginning  It's almost always the same three; see also http://wakoopa.com/tags/file+manager -- notability correlates with user count (exception is "Far Manager") -- it's a recursive self-propelling thing: once famous (notable?) you get more famous. The raison d'etre of the hype. Being kicked out of WP is the anti-hype...

Blogs might not count for WP's notability concept, bu they surely count for real world's notability. So, yes, would be nice if XY would be mentioned in that blog! :)

But it is, lookie here:

Explorer might not have been designed for this, but in all honesty it hasn't been designed but a whole lot of things, when it comes to (serious) file management.

That's why there are so many alternatives, one of them - and the best IMHO - being XYplorer, which features absolutely everything that's been mentionning on your post (and more), only it can't use the date created, only current date & date modified.
