favs() - Empty entry / duplicate entries

Post by highend »

How to reproduce

1. Clear the list of favorite files completely
2. Select a file and execute

Code: Select all

favs("f","<curitem>", ,"a");
When you now look into Manage - Manage Favorite Files...

The first entry is empty and the current item takes the second place

Close it and execute the favs(...) command again and reopen Manage Favorite Files...

You have the same entry twice...

Empty entry: fixed, thanks!

Duplicate entries: Preventing them is not a feature ATM. Should go to wishes.

Will create a new thread.

I have a ntfs partition that is mounted as a folder (instead of giving it a drive letter):
When I'm in that folder and toggle it as a favorite folder, the entry in Manage Favorite Folders is just:
mounted_inside_folder.png
while the real path is
D:\Users\Highend\Downloads

This can happen to favorite files as well (but in this case it's a shell folder):
viewtopic.php?p=147180#p147180

Is there a setting that controls this behavior? Otherwise this can lead to same
favorites that reside in different folders (and you can't see where they are coming
from)
