Post by hari3 »

Your grace,

I want to have a custom color for the file selected in the list,as the current color used is bit dull to see.

See Tools>Configuration>Styles and look under "Selections:"
Note: you need to have "XYplorer classic" for the selection color to work.

These registry settings will change the Windows global selection (highlight) colors in XYplorer (with XYplorer Classic selection style) and in most other places, and works for Windows 10. You need to at least sign out and sign in again to have them take effect. It will affect list/row selection and text selection, and menu item selection but the latter only in some applications. This change can be hard to stick in Windows 10, like other colors. For example, it will go away upon waking the computer from sleep. Yet it will return if I log out or reboot. Go figure.

Code: Select all

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors]
"Hilight"="10 36 106"
"HilightText"="255 255 255"

Copy and paste the registry code in my previous reply into a file, with extension ".reg". Then double-click on the file to load the settings into the registry, and then log out and log back in again for them to take effect.

Not according to the XY developer, check out this link for more info:

I think that the log off/log on behavior being different than the sleep behavior is a Windows "bug" which I don't think has anything to do with XY.
