First to say: thanks a lot for .flac support. Very welcome!

But: am I right that InfoPane/Meta (still?) doesn't show this info? While Windows/Settings (i.e. "Eigenschaften/Details") does.
For MP3 this is OK with XY. So I'd be happy if you can add it for flac, too :om:

Sorry - for mis-information

Windows Eigenschaften/Details does not display flac info.
I was mislead by the file name :veryconfused:

Though I would like XY to show this as meta.

The Meta tab currently only shows what the Shell knows. ATM no plans to change this.

You are the most responsive developer I've ever encountered. Deeply appreciate - and will constantly use - the new vorbis comments feature.

You really should put a "Donate" button on your page just for those of us feeling really grateful for something or other: I feel like I've pirated this from you at times. Keep up the amazing work - I'm going to end up knowing this thing better than native tools. I hope you're younger than I am!

(Composer too? For us classical and jazz buffs? Be nice for search and mouseover.... Classical simply doesn't fit into pop-music tags, though we can stretch categories. Composer is a must, though.)

Thank you! (You can always send me money via paypal. )

Conc. Composer I will think about some general approach. Vorbis comments are not a closed set, they can be anything.

Wowee, success. Next beta you can do this:
ComposerColumn.png
ComposerColumn.png (8.42 KiB) Viewed 2168 times
And get a column:
ComposerColumn2.png
ComposerColumn2.png (4.76 KiB) Viewed 2168 times
And you can do this with any tag you need. If the tag is in the file, you see it in the column.

Fantastic! This will allow me to do away with the external call to "gettags_mingw.exe" that Highend helped me with, and at last accomplish my tag needs natively.

Outstanding! Just updated to the latest beta, and after swapping my custom column's external call to the new syntax, it works great!

Thank you so much, Don!

Thank you Sir. This is much appreciated. (Still hoping for composer in mouseover; I think it's the only really useful category not already supported. And I truly love the mouseover.)

As an aside, if anyone needs a free, reliable, no-strings file handler for music files that pops up beautifully from XY's 32 bit menu, you might want to check out:

http://www.softpointer.com/AudioShell.htm

The company makes their money from another product they hope you'll buy. There's no garbage attached to this. I find it far more useful than the dbPoweramp handler I use in 64 bit.

Added Composer. Totally agree that it was missing from the core set of audio tag properties.

The developer said in the thread that .ogg metadta parsing is implemented. However, I just downloaded xyplorer and it does not show ogg tags. The tags are there, I can check with mp3tag, but xyplorer does not show them.
