I am new to this program and just downloaded and installed the full version. Is there a way to default to XYplorer when saving instead of WE? I hope so!
Thanks!
Joe

Hi and welcome to the world of XY!
While I'm not sure if your question was stated correctly, but I believe that your answer may possibly be in the wiki, so have you looked there?

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

xyplorer in lieu of the windows save dialog
I suppose what I meant was, is there a way to make xylplorer the default file manager instead of the windows save dialog. I open a file in xyplorer, but when I save, the windows save window pops up.
I am a graphics person and use the Adobe Premium Suite. Adobe has a better save and open dialog box, but you have to enable their file handling database, Version Cue to use it. Version Cue does not fit my workflow, so I am trying to avoid using the cumbersome and time consuming windows save and open procedure.
The Adobe file manager interface works similarly to xyplorer.
TNX,
Joe

Re: xyplorer in lieu of the windows save dialog
You mean something like "Save As..."? If you simply want to make a copy of a file under a new name you can do that by pressing Ctrl+S on the selected file. Or Ctrl+D to make a copy with a suffixed number.
If you mean the dialog from "saving as" inside your graphics app: no, this would need to change the registry, and XYplorer does not touch the registry at all.
