Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Crash when trying to view large image
Build 064 of beta: I'm viewing thumbnails of JPG files. I click one to see it larger. An error message appears.... something about error 480... cannot create auto-redraw image. The program crashes. This is repeatable.

My guess, it is only with some files, I think not necessarly the biggest/largest ones, and once Orson will have rebooted the problem will not occur again.Gandolf wrote:Is it all files or only certain files and what sort of sizes are they?
At least that's how it worked for me when it happened

Unfortunately, the problem recurs after rebooting my PC. Not on every image by any means, just on a few of a set of JPGs.
It appears to happen only when clicking a thumbnail, not when clicking the preview image in the lower panel. One image that produces this is a 2.1 MB JPG, 4200 x 2800 pixels -- so a large image. Its dpi is 300 pixels per inch also. A lot of data packed in there.
But as I said, unfortunately rebooting did not stop this from happening.

Yes, size in pixels does matter here. Other factors a hardware (RAM, graphic card), and the current usage of the graphics memory.Orson wrote:It appears to happen only when clicking a thumbnail, not when clicking the preview image in the lower panel. Anyway, I fixed the crash.
