Hi,
I use "Favorite Files" to run many apps.
However, for some apps I would like to add parameter/argument.
For instance, there is the app C:\FileLocator Pro\FileLocatorPro.exe, for which I would like to run together the parameter -dw
In plain language, it would be: C:\FileLocator Pro\FileLocatorPro.exe /-dw
The parameter/argument would also be useful to run certain Windows settings (e.g. Default Programs=> C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.DefaultPrograms"
The problem is XYplorer gives an error (could not find) when I add the path+parameter following this format: C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.DefaultPrograms
Is there any way I could add parameter to .exe accessed through XYplorer "favorite files"?
Thanks for info!

Re: Possible add parameter to .exe accessed by "favorite fil
Please feed me with a bunch of sample favs (and their parameters) and I'll hopefully help you with a nice back and forth scripted categorization solution. Someone else's solution but will give you something to play with.

Olá Tiago,

Keeping the conversation in English, since this thread can be useful for other people.
Actually, realized "favorite files" wouldn't be the best solution to organize/run my .exe files. It's because the items are growing in number and "favorite files" can't handle submenus to organize them (I discussed it here: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15825).
It seems the best solution would be to organize/run the files from the "catalog". In that case, could the catalog (action on click:open item) handle parameter/argument as well?
I listed some .exe below, which in catalog terms are:
Caption
Item
Control Panel
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe
Sound
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.Sound
Display Settings
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe desk.cpl,Settings,@Settings
Mobility Center
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.MobilityCenter
Devices and Printers
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.DevicesAndPrinters
Keyboard
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.Keyboard
Mouse
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.Mouse
Themes
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe desk.cpl,Themes,@Themes
AutoPlay
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.AutoPlay
System
C:\Windows\System32\control.exe /name Microsoft.System

Re: Possible add parameter to .exe accessed by "favorite fil
The catalog can do this already...
"C:\Windows\System32\control.exe" /name Microsoft.Keyboard
and for "Action on click:" field: Open selected List item(s) with Application
Done
"C:\Windows\System32\control.exe" /name Microsoft.Keyboard
and for "Action on click:" field: Open selected List item(s) with Application
Done
