I'm just curious as to why a feature the default windows file explorer has had for years is not available on xy.

Being able to hide the file extension on shortcut files. So that they don't say .lnk

I realize that Windows Explorer never shows extensions of shortcuts (LNK, URL, PIF), even if you disable the "Hide extensions for known file types" option.
It's clearly not as bizarre as hiding all extensions. So it probably should be an option in XY.
I'll add a tweak.
