1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Perhaps a cosmetic glitch

Post by clauderenaud »

Hi all,

In the file menu there are two "exit without saving" options, one with alt=F4 and one with Ctrl+alt+F4...

Hi,

My menu shows
1. exit without saving i.e. ctrl+alt+f4 and
2. exit (saving) i.e. alt+f4.

could you recheck?

Thats very strange, never seen that before. maybe you can confirm that by installing another copy of XYp.

I only unpack zip files over the previous installation, so no particular installation issue !!
But strange nevertheless ...

I said so because with fresh install the problem will be independent of your settings (ini). Atleast if I have some strange problem I always install fresh copy to see if its my settings or XY which is at fault.

"Save Settings on Exit" = True:
Exit without Saving Ctrl+Alt+F4
Exit (Saving) Alt+F4

"Save Settings on Exit" = False:
Exit without Saving Ctrl+Alt+F4
Exit (without Saving) Alt+F4

In other words:
Alt+F4 exits and saves settings if that option is checked.
Ctrl+Alt+F4 exits and never saves settings.
