When sorting folders by date, symbolic links are not included with normal folder sorting and don't really seem to be sorted properly at all by themselves either.
When searching a folder with symbolic links inside, the files inside the symbolic links are not included in the search.
Are there a settings that needs to be changed to fix these?

Re: Sorting and Searching Symbolic Links?
Don't see the issue with sorting.
To search within links, enable Tools > Configuration > Find Files & Branch View > Find Files > Follow junctions

Re: Sorting and Searching Symbolic Links?
I think its actually an issue with windows - its the same behavior with explorer. Date modified on symbolic links don't change the same way normal folders do. When a new file is changed or placed inside a folder, the date modified updates. On a symbolic link, date modified seems to stay at the created date no matter what.SammaySarkar wrote:Don't see the issue with sorting.

add: same with searches in explorer - searching for files or wildcards do not recurse into symbolic links.
