Want to make tree view and list view independent.

Post by auralia22 »

Hi,

In xyplorer, when you navgiate files in list view, the directory is expanded automatically in tree view.

In win7, it does not.
In a word, tree view and list view are independent.

I want new option for this feature.

Best Regards,
Ross Peace

Hi, welcome to the club, Ross!
there's no clearcut solution, but you can try locking the tree.

First reset the tree to a preferred initial statu
s.
for example, go to My Computer/Computer/This PC, then enable Mini Tree, then disable it again (Menu > View > Mini Tree > Mini Tree)

Now do Menu > View > Lock tree
the background color can be changed from Menu > Tools > Configuration > Colors > Locked tree

One would initially try disabling Configuration | Tree and List | Tree | Expand destination node in tree , but one has no clue what that's supposed to do.

Hm, it seems to work only in Maxi Tree. Should it work in Mini Tree, too? Not sure.

It's alright. I get confused easy.

I see that option is supposed to expand <curpath> in tree, but mistook it to say "expand to the dest node".
