1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

So you double-click the folder in the file list to enter it?

Most of the time I'm browsing with the keyboard so I'm selecting folders with the arrow keys and open then with enter.

Weird: Since some days I haven't gotten this problem anymore but I also didn't updated to 14.50.0300. So this gives the impression that it's related to some other tools.

Hi,
had the problem again few minutes ago.

Now I can give you some more information.

The following didn't help to resolve the issue (without restarting XYplorer):

- Open the folder in the other panel
- Open the folder in another tab
- Refreshing the panel that displays the error
- Refreshing the parent folder

However I could find out two things:

- The affected folder hasn't been shown in the mini tree
- It seems that refreshing the mini tree (Ctrl+R after focusing it) resolved the issue because the folder reappeared afterwards and was accessible again.

Does this help?

Yesterday this problem kept recurring to a degree that got unbearable. Worked in an office with machines that felt sluggish overall. Created folders in XY itself which was thereafter unable to open them. They did get created, though, and opened w/o problem in other managers, also run from the same USB stick. At some point it also happened with existing folders after I clicked "Save current folder view" - view mode and col layout applied.

I tried to trick XY into opening them by creating CTB links and favfolder entries, hardwiring those paths I knew for sure existed. The icons didn't show the usual folder icon but the warning triangle and - needless to say - still gave me the infamous "Location currently not available". Restarting XY did not solve the problem, well.... I didn't try half an hour later, all I can say is they were still broken right after the restart. :veryconfused:

Well, wish I could tell you, but with the tree invisible, I don't know whether it was locked or mini or maxi :?

You can look at the checkmarks in the menu... (or simply show the tree)

Mystery. Something strange is interfering...

Anyway, I tried something in the dark. It might be better in the next beta...

Will keep you posted. In case it happens again, do you want me to fool with tree settings to see if it makes any difference?

I'd like to know if you can make it happen with a fresh version out of the box.
