Why do you post a screenshot of MediaInfo (GUI version)?

A MediaInfo GUI pops up. And? How many times do I have to repeat that you need the CLI version?

If you are asked to use the CLI version and don't know what it is you should ask, and not take something else, I think.

The cli package has a contrib directory with "CLI_Help.doc".

It's written in XY's scripting language.

I'm new to the forum and I hope I'm posting my question in the correct location. If not please direct me to the proper location.

My problem is that I need to show the EXIF creation date for Image files because I use the date as part of the file name. This information, of course is available in Lightroom 5 but it would be much more convenient if I could use XYplorer.

I am told I need to use a custom column and I have worked on this. The columns I've created show the times for JPG files but not for raw files like ARW, MRW, CR2 etc even though I've modified the custom columns to show these formats. See the attachment. The information for the RAW file types is not displayed.

Can someone please advise?

Thanks

Try this:

Download Exiv2 (http://www.exiv2.org/exiv2-0.24-win.zip)
Extract it

Follow the guide from my third post in this thread (how to create a custom column with a script)

The script part:

Code: Select all

 $exifTool = "D:\Users\Highend\Downloads\exiv2-0.24-win\exiv2.exe";
 $fullDate = regexreplace(runret("$exifTool -q -g Exif.Image.DateTime -Pv ""<cc_item>"""), "\r?\n");
 return replace(gettoken($fullDate, 1, " "), ":", ".") . " " . gettoken($fullDate, 2, " ");
Ofc you have to modify the path for exiv2...
