Well, I decided they should not, because:
a) single-click open interfers too much with MDBU which is prototypically used in Thumbs and Tiles mode.
b) Thumbs and Tiles mode have no icons.
v14.50.0106 double click on the thumbnail opens file twice

I think it's now inconsistent. Removing single click from tiles and thumbs was a shock.
Now navigation feels clunky and unintuitive.
It's likely the last version I'll use until Don brings back single click to all views.
