Don has been working on it. We know he's going to surprise us one day.

It works with every device. I can list the devices and their contents. What's missing is the copying. You want to do something with those files, right?

Yes if we can get this (and libraries) to work, then I would say you have all the main features of most of the mainstream file managers. There's practically no more "negatives" for XYplorer (besides no x64 version and "too many features" :kidding:).

Thanks for working on this, Don. I just realized I need it too.

However, I find that if I open the device (a USB-connected tablet) in Windows Explorer, I can drag-drop copies of files to that from XY. That lets me use all of XYs power to locate & sort those files first.

So while it would be very nice to have everything within XY, this method takes care of my main need in the meantime.

On a related topic - some simple devices will only play media files in the order copied. That order can be very unpredictable when using Windows Explorer. Fortunately, the excellent "CopyInOrder" util exists. Find it at:

I agree this should be at the top of the priority list.

If I remember right this is what the boss is currently working on (besides all the wishes coming up each day).

@Don: is the eta already set?

Me too especially when all my Samsung Devices does not have the Mass Storage option anymore.

And it's very sickening have to open Windows Explorer to transfer files.

The greatest annoyance is that I could not make it workable with the Xyplorer because it will say cannot copy, the file is being used or something like that.

Have to solely depends on the conventional Windows Explorer.
