I cannot claim to understand it myself.
Here's what I did: Couldn't find where to turn this instant thing off - I never use it - and it appears to be well hidden. So I ran Help > List All Commands, and entered "instant" into the live filter box at the bottom. That brought up the stuff I posted above.

binocular222 wrote:Color of file in the List comes from2 sources:
1) Config > Color filters
This auto color files if they meet certain criteria (i.e: .exe files; files >1GB...)
2) Label (Config > Tags)
If you manually Label a file (Show column > Label), the the color is config here
Also 3) Instant Color Filters.
Right click the toolbar, choose customize, find the little paintroller icon and add it (if it's not there already). Then experiment with the dropdown part of the button. You might have the "Executable" option selected...

 Yup - that's the one I was thinking of but don't use it often so forgot about it...and those default entries are there to show off the feature to new users as I remember it...thanks for the assist!
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

Ah, gotcha! (I guess - shouldn't you ring a bell there, http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=11993 . Also, as long as I got it right, why the paper plane? Wouldn't a shopping bag fit better?)

Yep, Virtual Folders! I call them Paper Folders. Going full circle back to papyrus, the good old egyptian shopping list. Very satisfying. Very easy to use. Good bye Selection Store (sorry Enternal!).

Much much better! You know, it's so good, so seamless, so fast, so small, so robust, so portable, so easy to use, so damn integrated -- this just MUST be the best virtual folder implementation ever. Hicks.

I hope the Win-Libraries will become supported as a kind of a "special" VF. :ninja:

Drooling....

In Gulf countries, weeks do start on Saturdays. Their weekend is on Thursday and Friday.
