More of a full screen option on Info Panel when PDF preview?

I don't recall seeing this before...I was previewing a PDF file...due to what I was looking for, I didn't want to open it directly in AA, but really would have liked a quick way to enlarge the IP to cover over temporarily the tree and catalog, and max out over the list area...there have been other times when I would have liked to do so with TXT or HTML files, etc.

Not sure how many others would find this handy, but it's kinda a variant of what one can do with a image...of course, I could stretch/enlarge IP to a larger area, but then I have to put it back to my standard setup...so having a quick way to do so without that hassle would be helpful, IMHO.

hmm.. I'm not sure there should be anything more than the Shift+F12/Maximize Panel. I mean, it's only a preview and since PDF, etc are done through IE (unlike music & pictures done within XY) they can't be dealt with as easy, since everyone can have a different software that takes care of it, etc (eg. Foxit for PDF) that might behaves in different ways.

I for one am pleased with the minimize/last pos/maximize that XY already offers (and their associated shortcuts). Besides, if you need a quite bigger "preview", for PDF & such (Internet/Office) you can hold Shift & click on the label "Address/Title" which will open the file on a full page in the associated app (eg. Foxit/Reader for PDF files), and that should be instantly since it's already loaded "within" XY!

I really think XY is quite good there already, since if you put you Panel say in the middle, you can use Alt+F12 to switch between Minimize & that last pos (hlf way through the List), and Shift+F12 to switch between minimize & maximize.
So with F12 aswell you can quicky hide/show the Panel, and switch between 2 sizes: minimum, maximum, and one of your own (eg half-way) Isn't that enough?

Sorry, jacky, but I don't think it's enough...You know how in IE that one can use F11 to max the display area? That's somewhat what I meant..
Except that I'd like to "overlay" the tree/catalog also during the preview.

Opening the PDF file via external appl causes some other issues in that it's thus another item on task bar..(thus to be skipped on Alt+tab thru tasks)... and which I have to exit out of when done, instead of just moving to another file in list...

Though I may already have Acrobat Rdr open for something else, in which case, I have to be careful when closing so as to not shut down other AA windows that I want to keep open...so I'd like to keep the preview under the "roof" of my XY appl.

Well, I know about that full-screen mode in browsers or other app (PSP, etc) but I'm just not sure if it'd make sense here. Just mean it's only a preview, and with "overlaying" the Tree/Catalog, with some documents you could almost feel like you're in Adobe/Word/etc (since documents can also be edited!) but inside XY's window and with its menus & not the app's ones.

Thinking about it, you can already pretty much get the same results (but 2 lines on List) when the Panel is maximized, if you hide the Tree (which hides the Catalog aswell if shown). So with CKS you'll be able to get there with Shift+F12 (to maximize the Panel) and whatever you want to hide the Tree. Maybe then ask for a new action that combines both Maximize Panel & Hide Tree, then you're set! Right?

Not quite!

For comparison, I've got a screen print that is a JPG and 1024x768 size...when I do a MouseDownBlowUp, it basically takes over my total XY screen...that's somewhat the coverage that I'm looking for..

Ok, so it's a "preview"...but IF by doing so, I don't need to open it externally, then I've saved myself some minor effort (as prev descib) for that other window...and, those two lines of list, plus the column header take up about at least 1/2 inch (metric=??) vertically...and I'd like to use that 1/2 inch for fully maxed IP preview instead...actually, plus more!

Such that the split line between status bar of list and tabs of IP would move up to more-less the same pos as split between toolbar and tabs...again, on a temporary basis, as one can do with F11 toggle in IE...

Also, I'd not really need/like to hide tree, just overlay it (or most all of it) while in that max preview mode, as MDBU does...though it only happens while one is holding down "mouse", and I'd like this to be toggled.

Ok. Note that I was only suggesting to hide the Tree as a way to pretend that the Panel was overlaying it during Preview

I still think it might be weird to have Word or Reader within XY's window/menu bar, but.... (maybe change the menus to a single "Back to regular preview"/"Exit Full Preview mode" or something?)

I've thrown together a quick (admitedly a bit rough, but should suffice) mockup
of how I'd see this max preview of a PDF (as example) to look...

so here it is....

I'm not very good at cutting/pasting/moving parts of images around but tried to show the basic idea...I had also tried to merge two images together around the Prop/Addr tab hdrs..oh, well...imagine it looking better!
