Well, whenever is not cool by me. I apologize for the delay, but it's not in my power to make it any faster. TB development is much slower than expected. Gotta wait.

I take quality of outcome over speed.
Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XYplorer goes twinBASIC +++
Do you mean the development OF TwinBasic by the TwinBasic core developers.
Or do you mean development of the new XY IN/WITH TwinBasic by you?
I assume you mean the first, since you also said "Gotta wait." and it also seems that not even v1 of TwinBasic is completely finished yet.
When I saw the latter a few weeks ago, I immediately did not expect any working TB-XY version before 2026, and that only if it goes relatively well.
But again, as Whirly said, "it ain't like anything is broke". Good enough to see a realistic road to the long distance future.

Yes, I meant the development OF TwinBasic. But there has been good progress in the last days (while I took a little break), and a first beta of a 32-bit XY compiled with TB should come out this week!

Fantastic news, Don! So the 32-bit beta will continue to use the 64-bit addons for now (menu, copy, etc) ?

Yes. The first goal is to make it look and work identical to the VB version. Then I will move it up to 64-bit (I guess this should take only 1 or 2 weeks). If that works I can throw out the helper apps, and the related config settings.

Re: +++ BREAKING NEWS: XYplorer goes twinBASIC +++
For those of use that use the Portable version, will we be able to place the TB version in another directory and run them both? And once you get going, will the current XY config be able to be imported to the new TB version?

Just to ask: will you start a new beta thread for the tB-versoin?

It won't be that many. Pretty soon they will be posted in the current beta thread. And most people won't even note the transition.
