Improvement of Breadcrumb Bars

Post by hogaty »

Thank you for These improvements in version 18.10:
* Breadcrumb Bars: Now the size of the navigations buttons is is directly
coupled with the bar's font size (which can be controlled by Ctrl+Wheel
over bar).
+ Toolbar: Ctrl+Wheel over the Toolbar now lets you control the toolbar zoom
(via the ToolbarZoom tweak). Doesn't look pretty but works.

Type ahead find of Xyplorer is always working In the breadcrumb bar popup menu of directories, but in windows explorer never.

Age Circles! Wow, works for me. Life changing. Feature of the year. Together with Size Circles it marks a new era of file management. :cup:

Code: Select all

v18.20.0105 - 2017-08-04 23:03
    * Age Circles Tooltip: Now additionally to the age the absolute date is
shown including the week of the day. IMO that's a usable bit of
      human-friendly info.
    * Size Circles Tooltip: Now additionally to the raw bytes count the size is
shown in flexible format if it's 1 KB or larger (otherwise it would just
be a repetition) and unless the Size column is in flexible format anyway.
Great! :D

Only just noticed this thread, I have to say I'm astounded at all the features in XY, but in particular a recent feature I love is the new date column smart right click to "touch" a file and also being able to copy a date from one file and swap to another from this location is very useful.

I really can't express how much I like this app and honestly I think it's the only reason I am continuing to use Windows, I was just about to switch to Linux before I found XYplorer.

Hover over any date column and Ctrl+RClick, or hold left mouse button down and right click will popup a context menu.

Code: Select all

rtfm "idh_listview.htm#idh_listviewtimestamping";

18.70 brings an especially nice set of new features :!: Find In Text Boxes really deserves its own TB button. Was able to live a satisfactory life with the limited number of Labels but it is sure nice to have the extra ones.

Thank you Don for SC thumbscacherename. It should come in quite useful for someone who transfers XYplorer and its data and thumbnail cache files to a new computer when the image folders on the new computer are located in a different drive/folder than the old computer (e.g., new location: "D:\Photos" old location: "G:\Photos"). By using the new SC, they'll be able to use their existing thumbnail cache files and not have to deal with rebuilding the thumbnail database. :appl:
