Not a problem with VB programs, XY is the problem.
I told you a couple of years ago (e-mail 20 March 2014). I have a number of machines now (4 & 5 Ghz processors) that won't run XY. XY won't install or run from a USB stick. They run three other VB6 program, that I know of, so it's not VB6 that's the problem, it's XY.

But there is compiled VB in XYplorer.exe, and, I assume, you call routines from msvbvm60.dll since, as far as I know, XY requires msvbvm60.dll to run. All the VB compilers I've ever heard of, from people who used VB, compile to appalling executable code, regardless of how good the source code is - disassemble it and look!

Uuh, sounds disgusting. I wouldn't let one of those on my beautiful Windows machine, LOL.

BTW, I'm still pretty shocked about the weak results over there at slant. Not very motivating. I put practically all my life into this project, and I get 50 votes in return? Really? Makes me think. Is the login really such a high hurdle? Doesn't everybody have a throw-away email for such things? :maf:

PS: When I google for "file manager windows" slant comes at position 5 (of 19,200,000 results). Same at your end?

95% of the userbase isn't probably active in this forum. Did you put the voting suggestion on the website?
Apart from that -> Another vote^^

Yeah, why give something in return when I'm protected by the cozy blanket of web anonymity? Why give support only because I can get it for free in the user forum (even if I'm using a cracked key as we have seen here recently)? Why care how somebody else pays his rent? All those jerks who never pay me a cent, they could at least give me a vote. Voting is free, hey it's even legal! I have the most liberal license system you will find. Usage on all machines, no calling home, no registry tricks, no "ultimate version", no extra payment for portability, nothing kinky, all open and friendly. So vote for me, bastards! :blackstorm:

Ah, I feel better now.

Thanks for the vote.

Don, have you twitted or "facebooked" about the vote? That ought to attract more voters.

I facebooked once, but did not twitter. I'm not after mercy votes that I have to beg for. I want real free voluntary votes from strangers.

Well, maybe I should not compare a file manager ranking to youtube video likes... I'm just a little jealous of those numbers... :)
