Check for tab pointing to renamed folder

Post by Chris Wood »

When you rename a folder in XYplorer it could check to see if you have any tabs open at that folder, and update them to point to the new name so they are still valid.

Pretty minor thing but means you wouldnt see those scary all-grey list-views as much. Yes they're scary, because they look like something has gone wrong.
test everything. hold on to the good.

I have to stick to the colors of the OS color scheme. There is no lighter grey. I think about another way to make it less scary...

Atleast i would think that going up to parent folder is a better option, instead of no list.

No, I think it's good to hold the position even if it's unavailable now. I could become available later.

Hmmm thats true, maybe info "not available" is not bad after all.

Just saw the newly styled unavailable list, i think its much nicer now.
I did not realize until now that double-clicking on the unavailable list takes me one level up(even when "dbl-click on empty space goes up" is unchecked). I think you never mentioned this before but a nice one though. :)

Yep, it was new to me, too. :)

That is cool! It would be even less scary if the text said so: "double-click to go up a level"
test everything. hold on to the good.
