Post by phred »

The ability to right-click on a folder in the tree and open in a new tab exists.

I am often going to folders that I have saved as favorites and they open in the existing tab. I'd find the ability to right-click on a favorite and have it open in a new tab very helpful to my workflow.

Thanks for considering.

Just use Shift + Click.

Perfect. Thanks Ralph.

While I appreciate that Don put together a User Guide, at 800+ pages it's a little daunting to go through. I should have looked there first.

I know, it's a nightmare. I'd never read 800 pages myself.

Tip: Holding Shift when going somewhere will open the new location in a new tab in almost all contexts in the app.

Thanks for the additional SHIFT tip.

The search feature of FoxIt PDF Reader works well as long as one knows the exact words one is looking for. "Open in new tab" took less than fifteen seconds for FoxIt to find about 10 occurrences. I should've done that before post I wish request that isn't needed.

Thanks again.

For anyone following this, I overlooked the obvious:
Settings > Menus, Mouse Usability > Context Menus > Custom items in sell context menu > File List > Open in New Tab (folders only)
