Caption lines setting as 'maximum' to be used
Caption lines setting as 'maximum' to be used
Would it be possible in Configuration that the number of caption lines entered is the maximum to be used? Then when none of the visible captions are as long as the maximum there isn't any wasted whitespace. For example, I have mine set to 3 lines but if all the visible captions are only 1 line long, there's an awful lot of whitespace that could used to display more thumbnails and require less scrolling.

That would require a complete pre-calculation for all file captions. Not good. Why don't you use the new "Overlay captions"?

Thanks Don, it was just a thought I had. I find the overlay takes up too much space on the thumbnails especially when dimensions are on as well. I know we can toggle those both of those but I'd end up spending a heap of time toggling so I'm happy using the captions as they are. I know I could also use bigger thumbnails (and sometimes I do) but that would defeat the purpose of my post which was to have more thumbnails visible before needing to scroll.
