Drag&drop file window focus

Post by geek13 »

If you want to drag a file from another window to XYplorer window which is not on top, it would be useful if the target window would be moved on top. That means, when dragging a file from one window to another it should automatically focus (move on top) the target window currently under mouse cursor.

See the similar wish demonstrated in this video: https://github.com/files-community/Files/issues/9362

I guess this should be a systematic windows feature (I didn't find any general solution), but at least XYplorer could implement this option.

Such an feature already exist for any application in Windows.
Drag the file to the icon off the running app on the task bar, wait until its activated and drop it.
Press Ctrl if you want to copy and not move the dropped file..

I could easily do it but AFAIK it's non-standard in Windows. And there's no way (or rather: it will be much harder for me) to automatically bring the app back to the background when you unhover it.
