Configuration Window Focus Stealing

Post by VeeGee »

Good morning,
For my setup, I have the main XY window in my primary monitor and when the Configuration window is open, it is displayed in a corner of my secondary monitor. If I click the Configuration window (2nd monitor), it brings the focus of the main XY window back to front (main monitor) above any other opened windows, e.g. browsers, editors.

In most cases, it is not an issue because I am in Configuration and the main window without anything else active; however, as an example, when I am reading this forum and applying/testing help topics, following instructions in another thread, etc., I have to keep switching back to the browser after clicking in Configuration. This makes it hard to follow along sometimes with step-by-steps or instructions.

My current workaround is to move the main XY window to the secondary monitor (with Configuration) when doing this and then move it back. Any chance there is modal-type setting that would not bring focus to the main window when in Configuration ?

Nope. These are fundamental Windows laws.
