confirm delete items located in the recycle bin
confirm delete items located in the recycle bin
file explorer confirms deleting items located in recycle bin before deleting them permanently. I wish XY does so too
Re: confirm delete items located in the recycle bin
Can't confirm: with Tools > Configuration > Undo & Action Log > Prompt before delete, enabled, XYplorer asks for confirmation before deleting a file from the Recycle Bin?
XYplorer 21.70 / Windows 10 20H2.

Re: confirm delete items located in the recycle bin
A Windows setting controls this, right click on Recycle Bin (in the tree, or on your desktop) and go to Properties, the setting is in that dialog.
Re: confirm delete items located in the recycle bin
here is my settings. though, I get confirmation before delete a file from recycle bin
Re: confirm delete items located in the recycle bin
XY behaves differently from Windows Explorer.
in XY Recycle Bin :
- right click on item then delete, you get a confirmation.
- delete an item with delete key or delete button, you get no confirmation
in Windows Explorer Recycle Bin:
you always get confirmation, Whether the option to confirm deletion is activated or not

Re: confirm delete items located in the recycle bin
another suggestion:
the suppress deletion option is good if you just want to send files to recycle bin but if delete is permanent XY should confirm it.
XYplorer should follow Windows standards

I don't know why it doesn't work for you but I get a confirmation in XY using the delete key and the delete button.
