64-bit Preview
Re: 64-bit Preview
Works fine here too for "Show Preview Pane", but throws an Error 91 if I hit the Floating Preview or Full Screen Preview buttons. That may be because it hasn't been setup for those yet or should it use the original PDF Exchange viewer in that case?

FYI, communication from 64-bit to 32-bit works!

Re: 64-bit Preview
I noticed when using the brand new version v20.90.0906 that the preview seems to get stuck on the first document previewed (in this case a doc file). For example, I use the Type Stats and Filter button to look at "doc" files in my downloads folder. OK, there's only one doc file. I click on it and use the Show Preview Pane to display it. All is fine. Then I use the Type Stats and Filter button once again in the same folder to see only "pdf" files. I select a pdf and it it displays the same doc file I previously displayed in the Preview Pane. I click on another pdf and it's still showing the first displayed doc file.

Re: 64-bit Preview
I'm using Windows 10 x64 version 2004 (build 19041.450) which is the latest other than advanced fast track versions. I tried it again with the same result. If I go in the opposite direction, first look at pdf files and then to the doc file, it transitions fine, but when I first look at the doc file first and then change to pdfs, it's stuck on that doc file. If you can't duplicate I can send you the doc file. It's just a form to be filled out.
Edit: Even though the pdfs are shown in the list pane, it's not recognizing them - it still seeing the doc file from the previous Type Stat Filter. So no matter how many pdfs I click on it still showing that first displayed doc file.

Re: 64-bit Preview
When you preview a doc and then unselect it, does the preview disappear as it should?

Re: 64-bit Preview
Yes, it does disappear. If I don't use the Stats Type Filter button, it exhibits the same behavior above if I simply go from displaying the doc to immediately clicking on a pdf file. The same doc is shown again. By the way, this is a relatively new computer that has Office installed but I haven't purchased it (not registered / enabled) so it can't be used to do anything other than viewing I suppose.

Cannot explain it. I wonder what the others here experience...

Re: 64-bit Preview
I have a folder with two files in it:
01.doc
02.pdf
As long as I show both (not using type stats and filter) I can switch between both or select, deselect, select the same (regardless which one) and everything is fine.
Now I use type stats and filter for *.doc
The first 01.doc is selected and previewed
Type stats and filter again, this time "show all".
Still previewing the 01.doc
Now type stats and filter for *.pdf
02. doc is selected and... "Cannot preview."
"Show all" again.
And now, regardless of which file I select, the 01.doc is always previewed.
The thing is, the selection in the list pane isn't working anymore, the preview has stolen the focus.
Right clicking any of the two files and using "Rename" from the context menu leads to a "Tree or List must have input focus"

Re: 64-bit Preview
Argh, the old focus steal. I know that from Adobe PDF preview.
I wonder what type stats and filter has to do with it, it's just a visual filter.
When you remove/rename Preview64.exe, i.e. when you force 32-bit preview, then this does not happen?
FYI, it does not happen here in Win8.1, or with the version of Office I have. I'll try to reproduce it somehow tomorrow...

Re: 64-bit Preview
Uninstalled Office x64 + Sumatra, rebooted, installed Office x86 + Sumatra. Renamed the Preview64.exe.
Same procedure as last time.
No focus stealing and no "Cannot preview."...

Re: 64-bit Preview
I removed preview64.exe and have no issues like those described above with my default 32 bit viewer PDFxchange. I also wanted to note earlier that when I use preview64.exe, the doc files are not scrolled to the top of the file when opened.
