Hello,
one:
The Windows 10 file explorer, tested in 2020. hides the tree path, only when the mouse pointer is approached does the path appear, this idea to clone allows you to see the tree list without its "branches"
2: I don't know if it is possible to group partitions of a disk under a single root
Before:
Disc1 (C: )
Disc1 (D: )
Disc1 (E: )
Mem1 (F: )
Mem1 (G: )
Mem1 (H: )
..
Mem2 (I: )
Best:
[-] DISC1
¦ -------- Disc1 (C: )
¦ -------- Disc1 (D: )
¦ -------- Disc1 (E: )
[-] MEM1
¦ -------- Mem1 (F: )
¦ -------- Mem1(G: )
¦ -------- Mem1 (H: )
[-] MEM2
¦ -------- ...
=>
[+] DISC1
[+] MEM1
[+] MEM2
3: Allow to organize the parts of the tree with different options:
Standard
By ascending name
By descending name
Etc
This is important when you have multiple hard drives like external memory and tagged by name, sorting them alphabetically makes it easier to find.

Re: 3 ideas [+] DISC1 ...
check Mini-Tree and Paper Folders in Help file. that seems closest to what you wish with current capabilities.
