SC inputselect options

Could we get an option with SC inputselect (or really any input dialogue) to have an Apply button so that we can reuse the dialogue or could it be made so that you can plug in a value for the filter box so that it pre-populates? I know that you can click on the magnifying glass to toggle between no value and the last value, but it would great if you could pre-populate it or re-use the dialogue without waiting for the input dialogue to populate if you have a lot of objects to be listed.
