Indeed, it looks very good on dark themes now.
Re: highlighting by hovering item on list-pane or tree as in Explorer
highlighting by hovering works, but with option in Configuration "Point to select" I see file Info tips only by shifting mouse from filename on icon and vice versa.
That is, every time to get a hint, I have to move the mouse.
This happens in the view modes Details and List.

I don't think this has anything to do with "Highlight hovered items". Also happens when it is off. So it should be in a separate thread I think.

Thanks, it's working now. BTW, I didn't guess, I applied Occam's Razor.
I want XY to serve soft ice cream. Please Don, make XY serve soft ice cream.

Can you add the same color variation that happens on hover in the List to the Tree and the Catalog as well?

I already did that in the Catalog as far as possible.
In the Tree? Where?
Generally, what is the problem you want to solve?

Re: highlighting by hovering item on list-pane or tree as in Explorer
Noticed another bug I think with the new hover-highlight feature, when dealing with Always-on-Top windows like video player or music player:
Notice where my mouse cursor is. If i move it down to click on the pause button (or anywhere), it pauses, but it also clicks on the xy tree folder below the music player (and changing the folder).
XY seems to be stealing focus for the mouse-down part of the click.
- XY must be the active window
- highlight hover feature must be enabled
- tree must be hovered before the music player (it happens with the list also, but it's only a single click so it doesn't change folders)
With the feature off, it correctly transfers focus to the always-on-top window.

Indeed, good find! This bug always existed wherever there was a hover effect: Toolbar, Tabs, Breadcrumb, List column headers. Not anymore!jaywalker32 wrote: ↑15 Nov 2019 21:57 Noticed another bug I think with the new hover-highlight feature, when dealing with Always-on-Top windows...

The new beta doesn't play nice with FRS, the hover outline isn't visible anymore.
And, imo, the outline standing on top of all the other graphics is a bit of an aesthetic regression.

I fixed the FRS glitch.
Not sure about the aesthetic regression. I like it better now.

Alright, the work is done. v20.60 will be published soon.
If there is anything you like to mention concerning Highlight Hovered Items speak now or remain silent forever.

Re: highlighting by hovering item on list-pane or tree as in Explorer
Looks cool to me now
EDIT: there's a bug, not strictly coming out in this version, but nonetheless... when you drag items from the List out of XY, and you activate the destination window by hovering Windows' taskbar (think that you have to drop on a background window and XY is maximized on foreground), the dropping will be impossible (the cursor turns into the "denied" symbol). If instead no intermediate hovering occurs, everything works fine. HHI makes a difference here - if disabled no problems occur either.

Re: highlighting by hovering item on list-pane or tree as in Explorer
I would say that also in case of Alt-TAB switch between XY and the destination the problem shows up (only when HHI enabled). So, essentially this is the previous "loosing focus problem", which now shows up only with HHI.
