Paste as shortcut from a url or list of URLs

From time to time I copy a URL from IE/Chrome and want to create a shortcut for this web address. xy shows the paste option but returns "nothing to paste" in the "paste special" the "Paste as Shortcut(s)" is disabled.
If xy can check on Pasting if the clipboard has http? or [drive]:\folder\file.txt and then automatically create a shortcut like the "Paste Text Into New File" i.e. allowing the shortcut to be renamed if needed by the user auto created based on the last part of the url/path.
If multiple lines in the clipboard ask the question to create multiple shortcuts
I believe this could be created as a script and shortcut but just thought I would be nice to have it integrated within xy using CTRL-V.
