Auto mini tree for huge folders

When opening a subitem in a huge folder (e.g. C:\Windows\winsxs over tens of thousand items). It can be slow and not very useful to expand the full tree in the tree pane. So the wish is to auto minify the tree when the resulting tree list is overwhelming( e.g. larger than 1000 items).
