Light & dark transparency grid

Post by Pascal P » 27 Apr 2019 00:58

when previewing alpha picture, we can choose color of the transparent grid, it's great, but working with different assets could be better again.
For an example, here are 2 different assets :
Lock.png (1.42 KiB) Viewed 218 times
Rock.png (6.02 KiB) Viewed 218 times
One of them is light (so for a good preview, I prefer a dark grid) and the other is dark (here, a light grid is better).
Of course, I could use a middle gray color to preview it right, bug gray assets may not be visible.

So, here is my wish :
configure 2 sets of color for a dark and light grid which would be automatically choosed if the average of luminosity of the picture is light or dark.
Both.png (4.39 KiB) Viewed 218 times
If autodetection is too complicated, we could have a button to switch grids like this (if you need, psd file is in attachments) :
Alpha_Light.png (309 Bytes) Viewed 218 times
Alpha_Dark.png (308 Bytes) Viewed 218 times
(7.31 KiB) Downloaded 20 times
