Colored Tab
Colored Tab
I would like to be able to manually set the color of a tab within either pane of XYplorer. It looks like, from a search of prior posts, this may be possible using custom icons, and it may also be possible to differentiate between network and nonnetwork drives...but I'd really like it to be as simple as right-click, set a color, and move on.
Would anyone else find use in this potential fature?

Re: Manually set the color of tabs
Interesting.
Color icons could indicate tabs that relate. An option to auto mirror color tabs that share same 1 or 2 parents, ie parent and grandparent, could do for some smartness which in turn may be override by explicit choice.
Count me in.

Re: Manually set the color of tabs
Welcome to the club, oohsenah!
I'm not sure color tabs in XY would be a feature for me, but I can see how others might find it useful.
That said I do use Microsoft's Productivity Power Tools extension for Visual Studio which has a similar feature, where it automatically colors tabs based on their project or by matching user-specified regular expressions:
A sensible way to bring this to XY cohesively with existing features would be to tie it to boxed branches. The tab could either use the same color or the syntax expanded to include further customization.
It might also make sense as a further abuse of Renaming Tabs, where we can already specify icons.
Having both options would make it possible to color tabs based on their path or instance.
Food for thought!

Re: Manually set the color of tabs
I support this! This would be very helpful so all of the tabs I have open relating to the framework I'm writing can be one color and folders not related can be different, etc...
Re: Manually set the color of tabs
This is a must have feature for any serious program with tabs feature.
I support the request and think it should be high on the priority list (actually, I am surprised this is not already implemented).

+1 I'd really like to have this feature too

colored tab, or at least a separator
hello
It's been a while this featured is requested.
is it so hard to do so?\
where is colored tab feature??
at least add a separator to enable distinguish between tab regions.
