This time I failed. Those strings are multiply encoded: in base64 AND in utf-8 AND in some Hebrew code page, PLUS some directional characters (right-to-left script). This needs more time than I currently can invest here. :|

Hi guys,

I'm still in trouble with droping eMails. I just get the name like i drop it to the normal windows explorer. Tried serveral versions, serveral computer.

Yesterday I configured a new notebook, installed the "older" version 20.80 we bought a time ago. First it worked - I swere, but after a time, same problem. Sometihing happen there in the backround.
I deinstalled the 20.80 it and installed latest version as a trial, same problem.

I have no idea to solve the problem.

Anyone with a solution or same problem here?

Thanks in andvance.

BR, Kai

Please install the current version. Then give some more info on your template (Configuration | Colors and Styles | Templates | Dropped Messages) and what exactly comes out instead. Also interesting is the Outlook version and the Windows version.

Current Version installed, as mentioned.

Using Office 365, so latest Outlook.

Syntax of the Template is the same as before, worked well so far.

Settings are:

e.g.

Mail Subjekt "Prüfung Eingangsrechnungen"

Dropping to XYPlorer ends in:

and is equal to a drop to Windows Explorer:

Running Windows 10 with all updates and patches.

Hopefully this helps to find a solution.

Thanks a lot :)

We've used stationary workstations before, then we updated more or less all workstations to notebooks, HP Probook with Win10. And now it's the same on three Notebooks.

I got my own notebook last week, installed the 20.80 and testet the maildrop instatly, worked. Then I got back to work a few hours later, doesn't work anymore. And the same on two other notebooks, to be honest ... I dont know if it worked there in the first moments, but since the notebooks are in use, it doesnt work.

Could not reproduce it on newest Win10 / Outlook.
Nevertheless added some debug code to beta v21.70.0107.

With v21.70.0107 do your mail drop, then do dlog; in the XYplorer address bar. You should get something similar to this:

Code: Select all

Interesting. You drag the messages from Outlook and drop them to XY, right?

Yes, sure. But it ends in the same as I drop it
to the normal WindowsExplorer.
