sortbylist scripting command improvements?

I wish there were a way of identifying a folder by a wildcard pattern in the sort list - that wildcard sort list is a very powerful feature. And yes, there are ways around it, but nothing as direct, convenient, or useful. (Unless, of course, I'm missing something?)

At the least a switch that makes it respect the Keep Folders on Top setting?
