List All Commands - the Magnitude

Post by aurumdigitus »

When calling up List All Commands and inputting a value into the Search Box sometimes it would be useful if next to that box another appeared showing the number of those commands that were now displayed instead of just some endless long list.

Yes, I like it. But there needs to be a word or text along with the number. And I think it should also show the number of items of the list if it is not filtered.

Something like:
X commands filtered (682 total)

Not sure about the meaning of "filtered" in English: Is it what you see, or what you don't see?

You're right, this term can be confusing. I had in mind "what I see".

So maybe something more like:
X commands displayed (682 total)

Or maybe more general and just like the Status Bar: 456/875 (shown/all)

Will "(shown/all)" be shown? If not one could interpret it as "(filtered/all)"

Just the numbers. I think this is a standard: 456/875 means in words "456 of 875", and 456 refers to what's there. not what's hidden.

Is useful - but just wanted to add, that do I ever appreciate the way you currently handle settings as well (which is of similar scope). It makes what would otherwise be a nightmare extremely manageable. Thank you for that.

Now how about a popup that lists all scripting commands just as quickly and inserts a template : )

Don't know if I understand that one correctly (insert what template??) but showing all script commands
is done (in a specialized form) for about 5 years now: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=9248
