Calculate folder sizes needs to dynamically resize "Size" column

Post by Eep² »

When calculating folder sizes, the "Size" column remains narrow and does not show the current/already calculated folder items/sizes completely, using ellipses (...) to cut off info. This is annoying, especially when calculating many folders. I can manually "autosize columns now" by right-clicking the "Name" column or pressing its hotkey, but that too is annoying.

Does this setting not help?

Tools | Customize List | Autosize Columns

I know it applies to all columns, not size particularly, also if you have the line numbers column visible you can double click its header to autosize columns, if you didn't know that already.

Already have it set but "calculate folder sizes" does NOT resize the size column dynamically as it's calculating folder sizes. Only at the end does it resize the column, annoyingly; hence this request. I don't use line numbers; can't stand them; wasted space.

OK, next version has on-the-fly resize.
