Well, that did not work.

I tried a million clean ways, but nothing worked or the price was too high (in memory, speed, functionality, maintainability, or effort...). I really tried to keep it civilized and respectful of the human rights, but well, finally only the dirty way was left to go. So I'm a sinner now, but it works:
There is still a (small) price to pay (for you, the user -- I come to that in the release notes), but at least it looks good!

Aah I know the feeling. Sometimes I don't want to add features just because I'm not satisfied with the code required to implement them.

BTW, if all you folks are so happy to see the dark mode coming, why not nurture my motivation by adding a recommendation at slant?! Every click pays a little bit of the rent. Note that their algorithm likes it when you do it *again*. Show some liveliness and continued support. How deep is your love (to quote a famous Australian)?
