Here are 3 buttons on my toolbar at extra large buttons setting using 256x256 PNGs. They look even worse using the large button setting.

I thought that this topic could be used for icon related replies going forward instead of the combo box topic which got taken offtopic, anyway I noticed that you can no longer use the <xy> variable as a tab icon, for example historically you could name a tab
XY|<xy>
, but that no longer works.-

all the PNGs I tried as a toolbar button were all 256x256, 65,536 pixels, colors 16M ARGB (32 bit).
I looked at them again and they're rough and not very smooth using extra large buttons.
I don't normally use extra large, but I'd like to on a laptop.
They all look great on the Info Panel preview tab.
