Hello
1: The color currents of the circles do not tell much information. should follow a logic from minor to major, one of them is the spectrum of colors visible by the human eye.
Idea
The shorter wavelength is associated with the smaller or newer file (violet color).
The largest wavelength is associated with the largest or oldest file size, (red color).
good idea? or What other ideas do you propose?
Other options are intermediate colors.

2: When you click on each circle, sort the list according to its characteristic.

Re: ideas for Circles
Not as intuitive as leaf colors (green to brown) IMO, which has been my starting point for the current default. I then felt free to extend the metaphor somewhat.
Whatever, the nice thing is you can customize the colors to whatever suits you.

Re: ideas for Circles
I do not see that option
Re: ideas for Circles
IMO colors shall fade to lower saturation to illustrate the age, hue makes a second sense.

Re: ideas for Circles
Fade is distinctive only in context relative to other degrees of fade (unless you have an absolute fade degree memory). So you must combine it with colors IMO, else it just does not work in real life.
