Anim Gif is tricky. I might leave this for HoverBox 3.0... but I'll check later...

UPDATE: Nope, that's too much for now. Gonna come with HoverBox 3.0...

Can text-preview have no other side effects like popping info tips on folders? (.90.0118) Attached under 'show file info tips' it does make sense, but it's a price I would not like to pay for having it enabled eternally as it's a must for me (another long time wish).

Don, can you check and confirm the behavior when Show info tips only while the shift key is held down is enabled?

What I'm seeing is that shift+hover shows HB and ctrl+shift+hover does nothing.
I expected and would prefer ctrl+shift+hover to show the info tips when that option is enabled.

Should it be made clearer that the options shown below are applicable to the Hover Box as well?

I'm seeing a weird placement of my Hover Box when XYplorer is located on my second screen :

This is what I get (and what's expected I think) when XYplorer is located on my main screen :

The Hover Box doesn't seem to be working on new Office files (docx, xlsx...) while it works on Office 97-2003 files (doc, xls...). In action below on a docx file, with the preview pane showing that XYplorer is able to preview the docx file:

I observed the same on xlsx/xls files.

i wish the hover box (text files) could be customized to look like exactly as the text preview which is displayed when the 'mouse down blow up' feature is used

1) mouse down blow up requires a click (hover box does not require a click)

2) but mouse down blow up offers text-preview that is so much more good-looking:
- no huge dark borders
- no unnecessary additional info (size, modified...)
- no '... [continues]' inscription
- just the content of a file (inside thin tidy border)
- substantially greater quantity of lines are displayed which is very important

so the idea is to simultaneously have:
- 0-click feature (as with the hover box)
- and bigger/more informative/more neat and more visually pleasant text preview (as with the mouse down blow up)

I plan something else you might like: Once the HoverBox is up, you can scroll through the text using wheel or arrows.

I'm planning full 64-bit shell extension support in the future. Then your issue will be history.

Do you get the same weird placement with Mouse Down Blow Ups?

Nope. MDBU is correctly placed.

Weird! According to the code both are handled identically. :eh:

Could you place your mouse to pop one of those misaligned HoverBoxes and then run this through the address bar via ENTER and post the return:

Code: Select all

screen;
