Ok good it's not just me. I was trying to figure out if my settings were messed up and was right clicking and holding furiously at the speed of light.

Anyway, awesome new feature! :appl:

By the way, how is the maximum size to display determined? It seems a bit random to me at the moment. Perhaps it's something that can be tweaked?

Before someone complains he won't see what everybody else is already enjoying.
Some hundred years ago i set this tweak

Code: Select all

; Tweak: set to 1 to show File Info Tips only if the Shift key is held
FileInfoTipHoldShift=1
and then forgot about using (the SHIFT key), because without saying there is a bunch of XYplorer ways to file info.
Set that back to zero and enjoy Hoverbox - the RSI antidot :D

Code: Select all

- There is nothing to configure (I hope this feels relaxing to you).
i hope this will change as feature is good for configure.]

for the moment i observe strange behavior.
- Large Icons, Small Tile, Large Tiles, Thumbnails view does not provide HoverBox when upon icon, only on name hover
and it's the same if "File Info Tips > Show info tips only when hovering file icon" is ON or OFF. smt here is definitely not as desired

It is desired. Only a small area should be "hot" for info tips. Else in those views you would get tips popping up all the time.

Good tip, I think I will raise it to GUI.

i find it little not obvious for Large Icons, as others at least have thumbs seen, but this one stays with icons. though have no real complain, i use Large Icons close to none.

true it does not work
the program has a (No Install) version
HoverBox is extremely hot&cool! almost horny. :kidding:
Still, from that reply I thought that the HoverBox would be working independently from File Info Tips (admittedly a totally subjective assumtion). Not that it is a big problem but it would be nicer if I could have the HoverBox for images (only) and/but no file info tip for the other files at all. Or did I overlook something?

Correct, it's controlled by the master switch "Show file info tips".

Hi all

Nice one, but looks a bit weird on my dual screen setup. If the mouse is in the lower pane, the whole preview appears on the second screen.

Cheers

Sorry, forgot to mark it. The left screen is the primary screen.
