Hi Don! i really like this great software could have a 64 bit version! with that would be completely perfect! and crush DO completely beyond repair! this feature i need it for manage Macrium Reflect images from within XY,and other 64 bit tools too, reading this thread i know that this task is very troublesome and require really hard work! but i think it's not impossible! would be really outstanding to see it in XY 20! but i know it's not yet in the works, but i keep my hopes up for this great achievement in a not to distant future! what do you and all think of this?

Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | Drag and Drop | Use standard shell drag and drop
Hello,

In my case, I had to untick it and now 7-zip drag & drop works. So I wanted to ask what is the technical difference between standard and non-standard.

That's interesting.

To create a drag and drop situation is a complex thing in Windows. I can either let the shell do the tricky stuff or I do it myself. Each has its pros and cons as we can see in your case.

Oh damm... thats a shame. I understood it was going to ease right click menu integration.

I'm use a x64 file manager (Total Commander) most of the time
but I don't have any big problem with the context menu in XYplorer.
Even with the unticked option "Show 64bit context menu"
I get the importand context menu entries for all x64 bit software I have installed.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)
Portable XYplorer (actual version, including betas)
Everything 1.5.0.1371a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.3.2, Listary Pro 6.3.0.69

I find I am having to revert back to the windows explorer for certain tasks to run smoother.
I was seriously thinking of upgrading to lifetime plan of XYPlorer because it's fantastically designed and very practical,
but its for some reason quite slow on all my systems.
I too look forward to a 64bit version.
Good Health,
Zimadude.

I get them all appearing as well but it's noticbly laggy and I have to wait for it to appear.

My memory is from the developer a year or more back was that this would be resolved when the 64bit version came out.

Ah great to hear about that, I had no idea and I learnt VB in school. I've supported the project although it seems now that it's unlikely to pass due to the end time approaching pretty soon. They need some big corps on board that are still using VB apps.

Well - is it the answer to all your prayers, or just a waste of time?

As arkid said, I don't think it's going to happen because there is little chance of him getting the money he wants.
