I'm sure more requests like this will come. And I'm sure I will find a good way to implement it. Let's say this is currently phase 1 of the feature.

As audio. Video will come in a later version.

Nice new feature Don. :tup: :appl: I did have to do some tweaking of highend's UMC to get it to function properly but not a biggie.

You may want to consider a new name for it before you get too deep into "Tools | Configuration" changes especially if you plan further developments. MDBU really doesn't cover it for playing audio or video. Maybe MDPI [Mouse Down Play It]. "Play" would cover audio and video nicely.

In that case I would think MouseDownPreview would be not as funny but covering all the ground ;-)

Since it's about sound "blow up" is not that bad, actually closer than when applied to pictures.

I'll stick to MDBU -- never change a successful brand name.

Well, it was just a thought. :) I was actually referring to breaking it up into 2 distinct features - the one for images jpgs, gifs, etc. stays as MDBU and the NEW feature for audio and video as MDPI (Mouse Down Play It or other name). It may have been easier for users to select/control the desired settings especially if you plan to expand in the future.

I agree with with klownboy you should consider having and naming each as a separate feature.
I feel it would be easier for new users or those of us less savvy with all of the nuances of XY. Knowing that MDBU is graphics/image related and MDPI for instance is audio.

The differences are much smaller than the similarities. To separate them would create lots of double work. And the usage will be so bloody simple nobody will care about how it's called. They will just use it and love it. I'm myself completely hooked to it already. Wait for the next version with progress indication... :D

I suppose you're right about the point that once the user makes the settings, he won't care about what it's called, at least not the existing users. But, I was thinking of you heralding in a New XY feature to potential new customers as oppose to expanding an old one, albeit a good old one. :)

Well, I think "Mouse Down Blow Up -- now you can hear it!" makes a good slogan. :biggrin:

@Don:
https://www.hidrive.strato.com/lnk/3bDPy1Xj

Contains a .zip file. 2 .mp3's. One is working, the other one not ("playing failed: Automatisierungsfehler" in the status line)

It can be downloaded only one time, so please leave it to Don^^

Right click is set to "stay up" here. I tried something: right click and hold on an mp3 icon, and drag the mouse to right, then release the mouse button. In other words I wanted to start the song somewhere in the middle, and listen to it without holding the mouse button down. And it worked well. Great!
