[RESOLVED] Find the encrypted files by searching

Post by cemekepirketou »

Hello,

With the software Cryptext, I can encrypt files or folders with a password,
then I get this type of extension : $#!
exemple : *.jpg becomes *.jpg.$#!
see in XYplorer :

Image

I can list those files by : [Show Info Panel (F12) / Report / Current Folder]
but I can't find them by : [Find Files / Name : *.$#! - All Types]

Thank you.

Welcome to the club.

On which version are you currently?

Configuration > Find Files & Branch View > Find Files > Enable extended pattern matching

This shouldn't be checked, otherwise the # is interpreted as a single digit and not the literal #
One of my scripts helped you out? Please donate via Paypal
