Am I the only one having this "problem"?
Whoops, I replied to this post, but apparently the forum soft has eaten my reply. Anyway, this should be fixed in v14.40.0314.

Ah, yes, now it's "fixed", erm better. :D

Q: It is intention, that MDBUing images vs. txt is using different positioning?

At my system Windows 7 the mouse down blow up doesn't work.
Any thing must be configured?

Yes: in Configuration [F9] > Preview > Thumbnails. In the bottom section, check the options you prefer. If you want to activate MDBU also on icons, check the last one "On file icons as well".

Yes, intention. Are you not content with it?

Functionally it is absolutely fine, it's just a bit irritating when doing fast comparisons between images and text. So rather a matter of taste.

What was your rationale to handle it different?

Look at * .mht files. These settings Previewed Fomats registered for "TXT Files" and "Web & Office Files", I uncheck it. But they are still on the mouse-down blow up displaying the code page:
mouse-down blow up for .mht file.png
mouse-down blow up for .mht file.png (6.97 KiB) Viewed 2823 times
How to disable the mouse-down blow up for * .mht in format TXT Files and Web & Office Files but leave as Image Files(I use an extension for create a thumbnails for * .mht)?

Hmm, maybe I should honor the checkboxes in Previewed Formats... what does everybody think?

In images the center is likely to be the most interesting part.
In text the top is likely to be the most interesting part (and the top would often be hidden if I popped up the text at the mouse pointer instead of centered on screen).

Makes lot of sense. :)

Thanks for explanation.

Makes a lot of sense to me. My vote goes for keeping it this way.

Another Yes-vote from my side.

OT but related: A few months ago you mentionend a commercial 3rd party tool that dovetails nicely with XY. I can't think of the name - some kind of Universal Viewer - if I remember correctly it could be made to live in the lower info pane?

Doesn't work.

The popup on left mouse button was already on.

UPDATE: After the last XY update I can see all text files, (or files with text). The only one I can't see is PDF.

QuickViewPlus - if installed, will it work as MDBU or in the lower info pane only?
