I would like to be able to rename files in Bangla directly, but I hardly do that anyways, so that's okay for now for me. :|

Never mind Dude, being a VB DB Admin, I know how difficult it is to alter the path of a well going project midway!

May be at the bottom of your list? Somewhere backside of your mind? next majour upgrade? Anytime future?

We will be waiting, no, SammaySarkar?

I have to bring up this thread again. I get exactly the same problem with Vietnamese: Copy-paste is ok but when typing, a few peculiar characters turn into ???. i.e:
ấ ể ờ ộ

Can we expect a fix?

I'm afraid this is extremely hard to fix and so many other things are more important at the moment. So I can only remain: later.

If you start XYplorer.exe with this command line switch, does it help when typing Vietnamese?

Code: Select all

XYplorer.exe /flg=1024

Sorry, /flg=1024 doesn't help.

(helloooo! :D )

after this development around 18.60.02000, support for complex scripts got a promising improvement.

See that? I'm typing the same thing in both rename and TAF -- textboxes are still showing "?" marks, however TAF input is perfectly okay!
Now all you got to do is make textboxes work the same. :)

(Just in case, here's an installable keyboard layout for Bangla: https://ekushey.org/?page/down_probhat)
keep up the great work.

Hey! It is several years I and SammaySarkar raised an issue regarding Full Unicode Support in search and display parts. Any possibility?

That's very unfortunate! I have to use windows explorer just for this purpose!
