Make thumbnail selection highlight include filename...
Please add option to make thumbnail selection highlight include filename. It would make it possible to always see selection highlight, even if we set thumbnail spacing to 0. This problem happens when "enable color filters" is checked. Here are some screenshots to show the problem...

Doesn't it work already that way?

Works fine here, v13.30.0111, in classic mode win7/64. Got a screenshot?

Re: Make thumbnail selection highlight include filename...
i tested with fresh settings. this problem happens when the following is set...
configuration > styles > selections ... "xyplorer classic" from drop down
...together with color filters enabled for images [even when "back" is clear]
can it be fixed?

Re: Make thumbnail selection highlight include filename...
Color filters overwrite the selection colors of the caption in the case of thumbnails and tiles. I thought that is a good idea. But it was never discussed here. So let's here opinions...

but the color filter for the images was set to a clear back, so it shouldn't have been a problem

In that special case I had to force the list background color as background else you would not be able to read the caption (dark red on dark blue).ghost zero wrote:but the color filter for the images was set to a clear back, so it shouldn't have been a problem

in this case, the text should be white--so no need to force back color. like the example screenshot in first post.
the selection highlight should behave the same as selecting files in list view. it doesn't make sense to make the selection highlight behave different for thumbnails.

Re: Make thumbnail selection highlight include filename...
In case of thumbnails and tiles I have the space to give priority to the color filter (because the selected state is recognizable outside the caption). I decided to make use of this opportunity, therefore thumbnails/tiles are handled differently here.
I register your negative opinion on this. So now it is 1:1. Any other opinions out there?

Re: Make thumbnail selection highlight include filename...
another practical reason for my request is that, when thumbnail padding is set to 0, the name highlight is the only visible selection indicator--since there is no highlight around the thumbnail [in some cases]. so in the current state, this is a problem.

Re: Make thumbnail selection highlight include filename...
Yes, that is a good point.
ADD: I will probably change it in 2014.
